It’s been a while
Wowzer! It’s been so long since I have even used this site. But I’m thinking of making. Some changes with posting on social media and using this platform again for documenting things in my life I want to remember and look back ok again without having to see them only in my Facebook memories. So basically... I will probably be the only one reading this page... but that’s what journals are for... right?
Anyways.
We are currently living in Gaffney, South Carolina.
Ryan is working at The Nestle plant as a maintenance worker. It pays good and may allow us to put down some roots in South Carolina. I love the South. I have zero regrets on leaving Utah.
Kids are growing! Teenagers for the most of them. Connor just turned 13 a couple days ago and Amirah is 14 and Kayden is 7. Crazy how fast time goes.
We live in our RV right now. By choice. We chose to sell our house and travel for work to keep our family together. This has been the best decision we have ever made as a family. Even though I love the traveling lifestyle, I am currently looking for a home to buy because Ryan’s work has given him a long term opportunity.
I’m grateful for my family and what we have together. ❤️

Ugh, Sewer...
So Elwood city is switching to sewer instead of having us on septic... which sounds like a good idea, but is it. Sure. But the process of putting a sewer line in was not so fun. Lets just say... pay somebody to do it. Not that Ryan, his Dad, and Jason didn't do a good job, they did... it's just a pain in the rear.
We had a deadline to get it done and we only had a little over a week to have our pipes tied into the main pipe. We started on Saturday renting a excavator to help dig our trenches. Not too bad. We got almost to the end and decided to cut off from septic... not such a good idea (as an afterthought). Being 9 months pregnant without flushable toilets for what ended up over 24 hours is rough stuff.
Long story short...

The place that we needed to tie into was much deeper than we thought and water kept filling up. By the end we had a few men from the ward, Ryan, Jason, and Bertley all helping finish our project Sunday night. They finally tied into the pipe around 9 pm Sunday night. Connecting it right into the water. Cold Cold Cold.
The icing on the cake with this is that we were asked to talk at church that same day... blessing in disguise... somehow.. maybe :) But by speaking in church that day, people were aware of the problems we were having and we were lucky enough to have them come help later that day.
Kids sure had fun helping their Dad!

Why Can't Dad Feed The Baby?
That is the question my 8 year old asked me as we are driving down the street. It made me pause just a bit... Deciphering the words I wanted to use. And trying to figure out how to tell him without grossing him out. ( I know, I know, it's a beautiful thing) but not to an 8 year old.
Well Kayden, Mommies have to feed the babies because we feed them with our... and that's when Amirah cuts in and gives most of the talk for me. I keep eyeing them through the rear view mirror. Oh my, well, at least I taught her the basics.
Thats when the conversation turns a little bit as Amirah explains the reasons Nessie (our dog) has little bumps on her stomach. Ok, ok, they are getting the just of it. The kids are understanding that it is milk that comes from those bumps... conversation takes a slight turn to cows...
But mom, why aren't Nessies as long as cows privates...
Thats it, I couldn't hold in the laughter anymore! Bahahahaha. All I could do was picture my dog with cow udders and pray that the kids didn't take another slight turn referring the cow the people.
Oh boy...
not my dog.

Thin Line Between Happy and Sad

Today has been an emotional one. One that I will never forget. I write this entry more for myself about the feelings I have felt today that I don't want to forget. Today my Great-Grandpa Veibell passed away. His health went down rapidly. It was a couple days ago that I was going to go see him but with my schedule that day being crazy I just never got around to going over there. A little bit of my feelings was that I just never believed he would leave us. He is such a strong and loving man it just felt like he would always be here. This morning I woke up having a regular day getting kids ready for school and I had that feeling "go see your grandpa, now!" It was a feeling I knew I wouldn't want to play with. I sent Amirah on the bus and put Connor in the car and off we went. It is about a 45 minute drive from my house to his. I left at 11:45. I kept saying to myself as I drove "I'm going to be too late, I'm going to be too late." I kept checking my phone for new emails just dreading the email that would say he had passed. As I was driving I was so amazing at how beautiful the tree's were. Here it was about noon and the tree's were still full of frosted snow. My heart was so full of how beautiful this world is and I couldn't get the site of those tree's out of my mind. So much so that as I was driving I took 3 pictures to keep. The feelings I had were so much stronger than a normal day. When I got about 5 minutes from Grandma and Grandpa's house I check my email one last time. There it was. The dreaded email. Grandpa had passed. I just cried. I was late. But I was almost there. I went anyways. He was still there and I was lucky enough to kiss his forehead and rub his hair. (I have always done that) What a feeling. Sad/Happy. Happy that my Grandfather has now moved on and out of this world to meet up with his family on the other side. My Grandma Trimble (Joyce), Marilyn, Julie, Tina, Becky, Laurel, and Kaitlyn were there with Grandpa and Grandma. I still cried. Sad that I had missed him. Marilyn said, "No, you didn't miss him. He is still here. He knows your here" I am so happy that I chose that time to go. The feeling of eternal family is so strong. I am so glad that I will be able to see him again. I had to leave shortly after. I thought back at those pictures. Those tree's that I thought were so beautiful. I had to check the date stamp on them. I took the picture at 12:13. I received the email that he had passed at 12:11. It's the feeling of life, eternal families, and the beauty around me that were in my thoughts at the same time that he died. I truly believe that it is those tender mercies that our Heavenly Father gives us to let us know that everything will be "ok". I love my Grandfather very much and will await the day that I will see him again.

Christmas cutting :)
We went out as a family December 10th to cut down our Christmas tree. Afterwards we had a Christmas party at our Grandma/pa Rawlins house. It is a tradition that will live on forever. We had so much fun. This year we did Ugly Sweaters and Ugly White Elephant Gifts. It made it so fun! Me and Ryan left the kids with Tina and Rob (thank you) and hiked up a little ways
(up Emmigration) canyon in Idaho. I bundled myself up warm... too warm... after hiking a bit I was HOT HOT HOT! Luckily we found a perfect Christmas tree and brought it home :)
Elder Trimble is HOME!!!

I'm Back!!!
We have started a new chapter win our lives! We have moved to Elwood UT and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! It just fits our family perfect. Kids get to ride the bus to school which makes it fun for them and nice for me.
We had 11-11-11 a few days ago.
We wanted to make sure that we captured the moment the best we could! And they did a good job... minus Connor's bendy fingers... Hahaha He is so funny! We were just
lucky to get him looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!!! So we will take bendy fingers!
We had our first big snow of the season a couple of days ago.
The kids are finally old enough to go out and play without needing me to go out there. I am not the "snowy" gal. So I watch from the window... drinking hot cocoa for them:)
